The I-9 Form Expired?!

Are you in charge of I-9 verification at your office?  Did you notice that the current version of the form expired on August 31, 2012 and that there isn’t an updated version yet?  What are you supposed to do now?  Don’t worry. USCIS released a statement on August 21, 2012 stating that the current version of the I-9 will remain effective even though it lists an expiration date of August 31, 2012.  USCIS will provide information on an updated I-9 form when it becomes available.
